So the evos pistons and rods are a direct fit in our block? |
somehow in my country they change head pin on 206 1.4..using supra piston..not really sure how mate, but they did it for turbo conversion..
standard engine can be boost but need less than 0.5 bar

Sorry the 206 will be staying how it is now as a work horse. A friend of mine has finally decided to let me have one of his cars i have been after for a little while now what he has had i dry storage for the past 4 years
H reg 205 GTi in white, near mint body work, couple of small marks but will very easy clean up, low milage... Has the 8v turbo engine in what i will be using once rebuilt and tidied up along with the engine bay.
Cant beat a minted 205 gti... Turbo

I would do some research about the 8v engine first as i have heard bad things about them. Eg not high revving, low bhp, very heavy. Will certainatly upset the handling of a 205. I'd say a decently tuned 1.9 205 engine would be much better.

I have had a 8v turbo 306 before and it shifted very well. Yes there low revving as standard, rev out at 6k but then again tge 206 does at 6.5k so not alot of difference there. Also the engine suits the 205 very well. Sound of slience in Falkirk have had a good few of these engines in their 205 track cars and put up a good battle against most high powered cars. 220+bhp in a car that weighs around 800kg will shift

Picked the 205 up yesterday ad brought it home. What have i let myself in for? Just put it in my back yard for the time being. Made a start on it removed the front bumper and get the wire brush disc on the grinder and set away removing all the surface rust. Going to try get the engine out this week so i can get to the rest of the engine bay and get it ready to paint for the weekend.

Didn't think the 206 would go anywhere. Can the same be said of the 205?
