The problem is my back lights are out and I can't find were the fuse is my fuse box is under the steering wheel and one in engine all other lights work brake fine reverse fine indicators fine put new bulbs in still nothing can anybody help me please

Check for corroded terminals in the bulb holders themselves.

2 as far as I know. & I'd try another tail light unit to check for sure.

You say you have checked earth. How exactly, step by step did you do that
Have you checked that there is not +12v at the bulb holder when lights are switched on? If so how exactly did you do that?
A lot of people have volt meters but don't know the simple traps that untrained use mean you fall into and the false diagnosis that can cause. Tell me, step by step how you have done the test.

Hi bilsy, what engine, and year is your car, (multiplex or preplex) reason i ask is my car, tail and front side lights do not have a fuse as such, in that it can blow something in the engine bsi a resister i think, as a auto elec had to sort my bsi out, was looking for fuses for ages without sucess.
Are your front sidelights working ok.

No they are not it all started when I changed front headlight bulb at the time 2 back lightswere out as wwell the car is a 206. SE on a 54 plate
