Picked up a 206 hdi on saturday and has been absolutely fine up until this morning when it was a fair bit colder than it has been.
Tried the usual trick of turn the key a few times to heat the plugs that bit more but the glow plug light only stays on for a second maximum? Then it takes a good 30 seconds of cranking to get it to fire into life.
Its the first time i have seen the glow plug light but surely it should stay on longer?
I had this on mine, it was only when it was really cold but it really struggled to start sometimes having to get a jump cause it just wouldn't start. Checked all the glow plugs was fine and couldn't find the problem. Ended up buying some redex one shot put it in and never had the problem again. So it's worth a try cause it's only like £5. Hope this helps
