I've got a weird squeaking noise coming from my car when I start it cold, that goes away after 5 minutes or so driving (presumably warmer).

It happens when I use the accelerator and sometimes the clutch and sounds a bit like a rusty spring with no lubrication, or something. Only happens when I'm in gear, i.e. can push the accelerator, clutch and so on around without making the noise when I'm in neutral or stationary. If I push the accelerator down with the clutch in, I don't get the squeak. It's quite loud at first but goes away after a while.

I'm at a loss to work out where it's coming from or what's causing it.

Anyone have any clue?

Oh...

Uncovered a possible here:

It started happening after I got my exhaust "fixed" actually.

Hi,

It is the join between the front pipe and remainder. I have got the flexi spring parts from Peugeot and going to fit mine tomorrow as I have the same issue and will copper grease all around it to ensure this no longer happens. Parts are about £13.00
