You can fit it yourself if you have the right tools. Literally took me 5 minutes on my sister's 206, and that included removing the old switch. Pretty sure there is a guide on here too.

Shut down the BSI, disconnect and remove battery.
Remove battery tray and air filter housing.
Disconnect the wire going to the switch.
Unscrew and remove switch and sealing washer.
Fit new switch and new sealing washer.
Reconnect wire.
Refit airbox, battery tray and battery.
Reconnect battery and reboot the BSI.
Check switch is working correctly

I don't have the new switch.
Mr mechanic has it ordered from his work
so as soon as he is back it will be done.
I agree I need it done urgently.

I went for about 4 months without reverse lights. It's a nuisance at times... Would have to do a lot of parallel parking and cars would sit up my a**e as they wouldn't see the reverse light:\

I tried to use lack of reverse light as an excuse too.. I replaced the switch the other day, you don't see the light at all when reversing! I reversed into a black fence a few weeks back..

Change your reversing bulbs.
It should be good enough to avoid hitting a fence!

They've got standards in, LED seem silly. It was a small black fence lower than the rear window, lol
