iv had my 206 gti for a while now and always had this judder but its got to the stage a want to fix what every it is as does get annoying on long journeys,il describe best a can.
when take off from biting point the drivers front wheels wobbles like mad and when u get moving at any speed in any gear there is a wobble from front end,the steering wheel is fine tho,any suggestions?

The only way you are going to know what is causing the problem is to get underneath and check for play anywhere.

its been in the garage a few times and mechanic says everything is solid,a few of ma pals that are mechanics have said sounds like the stabiliser mount on the gear box,is this likly?

I can't really tell you what's wrong with yours but I bought my gti with the same. Felt like the whole front end would Judder. I found the right hand mount was broken so replaced that, a little better. I found the left hand mount worn so replaced that, again a little better. Same with the rear mount so replaced with a polybush. Then replaced both front wishbones as they had started to knock over bumps and that has transformed the car. I still have minor Judder when pulling away but that's the clutch, and I can live with that til it needs changing.
