Hi all,
Does anyone know if mud flaps were an optional extra or accessory on the GTi 180?
I've come across a car that has them fitted, they look factory and standard but not sure if they are genuine or after market.
Any further info or part details would be great.

you'll need to jack the rear of the car up and maybe even take the wheel off each side then they just screw to the inside facings of the bumper

Pretty sure it's just the arch liner, can't remember using any tools other than a screwdriver so it must have only been the soft plastic of the arch liner.

Thats what I assumed it would be... but I couldnt figure out how to arrange the clips!
Maybe I'll have a coffee and try again!

These are only fitted on the front. Nothing at the rear.

I have them fitted on the rear. There are a couple of U clamps which go around the lip of the bumper in the arch
and then this bracket underneath
Not sure if they are OEM or not as they were on when I got the car, but might give you some idea how they fit

Fit them as intended to the front and as the tyres are wide the flaps do nothing. They need drilling and fitting further out.
