A run of the mill garage seems to be effing useless when it comes to removing air con pipes - at least i'd rather take it to someone who does this sort of thing on a day to day basis and doesnt give me the answer of

"oh, this is the HDI, big engine, small space, I couldn't tell you how long it'd take to remove it" - not that they even looked at the offending pipework involved.

"leave it here and expect to collect it at the end of the day" so that's 10 hours x £40 an hour to remove a push fit pipe and replace it with a brand new one I've bought. I don't think so.

I have tried it myself and there is a gay little circular spring clip which I cannot budge inside the lip/flange of the connecting pipe.

I can rotate the pipe around but cannot put it out or get the spring clip off.

So it's not a doddle.
