Right, recently acquired another 206 2l hdi, came cheap because it needed the high pressure pump on the engine changing. But it came with a known good pump. Came to change it today, and noticed on the new pump where the fuel lines connect to, one of the metal clips is missing from the pump. Allthough not threaded i managed to pull one out with a bit of force from the old pump. However it does not seem to want to seal in the new pump, its very easy to pull out and i don't think it would withstand the pressure when its running.

So does anybody have any idea where i can get a new one from? Or how i can get the one i have to seal in? Will upload a photo of what i mean later on.

I advise another pump mate. Average operation on the older 2.0 hdi is about 800 to 1500 BAR of pressure!

Why does it need a high pressure pump?

Oh great :/ that puts the price up.

Something broke down on it and its got metal filings over the fuel system that's causing it to be an absolute b***h to start. Tried changing the fuel pressure sensor and that didn't cure it.
