Hi, My 2002 206 gti 138 revs seem to bounce very low when removing my foot from the throttle! it mostly only happens when the car has been warm for a while and last week it even cut out at a junction the revs dipped so low. I have noticed the car has started being a little more hesitant to start to, it was straight on the turn of the key but now can take a second or 2.
Not sure if the more hesitant starting is related to the same fault as the revs dipping or not.
Any ideas?

Are the revs dipping when you put the clutch in? Could be the idle control valve giving you issues, I had this on my gti6 take it off and clean it out and it should be alright

I just cleaned out the throttle body and ICV which were pretty gunked up, and the revs do drop slower at the moment but whats happening now is the revs are sticking up high for to long when I rev the engine so when changing gears the revs stay the same or slightly increase inbetween like the throttle cable is sticking but i'm pretty sure it isn't.

Could this be the ECU getting used to the new fueling or could I have something sticking? Would I benefit from a BSI reset?
