Please can anyone help. I have a peugeot 206cc and it failed the mot on the abs light, diagnostic say it is something to do with the speed ( whatever that is) nothing conclusive was bought up on diagnostic machine. One sensor the gap is slightly wider than the other and when we went to remove them we could not get them off. Any ideas what this can be and how to fix or even get them off. The sensor came on after my car had a good jet wash, I don't know if this is where the problem started but it has been on for about 5 months now and need to resolve for it to pass the mot. Could it be on due to low brake pads.

Check the N/S front ABS ring and sensor. This is where the speedo gets it's feed from.
If no obvious faults are seen, then it might be worth getting it checked using PP2000 which should be more accurate than the generic diagnostic machine

It's better to be scanned using PP2000 so you know what causing the light to be on,and which wheel so you don't waste your time or money.
