Searching the forum for advice on fitting morettes and came across this thread which seems quite useful

but then got totally confused when I went onto one of the links mentioned in it, see below

Do I really have to do all that just to fit morettes? When I fitted the crystals I didn't disconnect anything, was just a straight swap of the lights

Yes mate, that guide is correct. You must earth the lights on them bolts and that fuse box connection is a must.

was really hoping not to have to do the soft boot the bsi

Any electrical work requires the battery disconnecting so you'll always have to soft boot the BSI.
Anyone who doesn't disconnect the battery risks the possibility of having a dead car or better still an instant BBQ.

What diagnostic tool are you talking about bud? If you mean what they are talking about in the link it just means, if you have anything connected ie, code reader etc then make sure its disconnected first.

Wil I have to do this with the BSI if I'm taking my morette a off? Guessing I will (could end in tragedy lol :/)

sounds like you will mate because of that blooming wire going to the fuse box lol i think it's a pain in the a**e tbh

Be honest I dunno if cba as wanna swap for crystals or masked if can get hold some but didnt relise be this much pain in area!!
Didnt relise u was lived in plym mate only down road will have meet up sometime

I do like the masked crystal but wanting to try something different, i have a set being made for me which i'll keep. Where are you then mate?
