After much debate looking into golfs,bora's,leon's,306's and a number of other turbo diesels. I have come to the conclusion that when my insurance runs out I will be upgrading from a 1.1 to a 2.0hdi. Preferably Blue or Black. Well heres a thread I've decided to start to keep track of parts and to do's that I plan to carry out on the car that I have yet to purchase LOL Laughing . But It means I can gather Information and possibly parts while time passes.

-Buy a 2.0 hdi
-Decat
-Egr delete
-Front mount intercooler (not sure how this works as the 90 doesnt have a intercooler as standard but there's a lot of how to's out there)
-Uprated Discs and calipers where applicable as some models have drums
-GTI Bumpers
-Colour coded Bump Strips if not already present
-17" vortex alloys in white (summer)
-16" Nimrods or cyclones for winter
-Dewiper and debadge the rear
-Spoiler if not present
-lower 40-60mm (I want no rubbing at all but no arch gap)
-performance exhuast system
-Uprated Clutch
-Remap (a standard remap gives nice gains of up to around 115bhp so with a frount mount I would like to reach around 125-130 minimum)
-along with the general ICE two Kenwood 12" 1200w subs (already bought) with a 1000w rms kenwood amp (on my shopping list) and a 7" flip touch screen radio
-uprated 150A alternator (If required)

so there you go guys I like to be prepared and any help/pointers would be much appreciated thanks Very Happy

I would be tempted with a bigger turbo before the map, but sounds a very good plan though

With exhaust modifications, an uprated clutch and a Front mount....160bhp is achievable with a Stage 2 remap.
