Hi all,
Looking to perhaps add the optional CD changer to my GTi 180 but I'm not sure of where it should be located?
Does it fit in the glove box?
Would I need special brackets?
Any info or advice would be great.
Cheers

think it depends on the year, I have an 05 180 and mine was in the glovebox whereas my brother owned an 03 plate and his was in the boot

Boot on early cars & glovebox on later ones.
Be warned boot changers are 6 disc where glovebox changers are 5 disc, it would be an idea to see which cd changer lead your car already had fitted from the factory & get the changer to match.
Australian spec car's are odd, they do miss out on some of the standard features that UK spec cars have, im not sure if the cabin wiring loom will be the same on an Australian spec 206.

It's for an 06 plated model.
Any idea on how I could check to see if the Australian spec has the connection?

Will be in the glovebox then i'd imagine. And open your glovebox and look towards the outer-back sort of area, when i removed mine there was a hole left there so you should have some sort of panel there thats removable if you can fit one, unless the gloveboxes are different.
Behind that there should be a plug thats not connected to anything floating around, i will have a look at mine and take a picture later if i get a chance.

Thanks DanT, I'll take a closer look at mine but your pic would be a big help.
