Hi guys,

heard a rough rattling noise last week so took my car into my mate at kwikfit and saw that the centre pipe bracket was broken and also the weld on the back box that was on the car when i bought it.

i will be replacing both parts this weekend but i would prefer to put another twin pipe back box on as the bumper is already cut for the last one but i dont know where to start, i have a few repairs to do now so a cheapish one that will look good, at around £50ish?

Thanks

As the picture in the link you posted says generic picture you might end up with a single pipe backbox. You should be able to get a decent one from eBay or get a single pipe backbox and put a double pipe trim piece on as changing the pressure with a double pipe backbox isn't good for the engine as it needs a bit of back pressure.

If you want a decent exhaust go get a custom made one. Cheap ebay ones will be useless.

its more for looks than anything else, the one that was on was pretty loud which i didnt mind, im not looking for an expensive performance one (it is a 1.1) just something that looks good, and the oem back box has the dipped end, is the a trim that fit that to come straight out instead of down?

you can buy trims for the end of it from halfords, etc. Or go to any decent garage and they'll cut off the pipe and weld a new one on
