My 1.4 8V is having some issues...

Sometimes from Cold the car can take 5 - 10 seconds to fire up and i'm not sure what could be the issue.

This Morning the car wouldnt fire up straight away and when I finally managed to get it to start it made it about 50 metres before it died in 2nd gear.

When I tried to restart it took a few attempts and the clock and my head unit reset itself.

Sometimes the car does fire first time and in general seems to drive fine.

Gerbox earth or battery. Get the battery "drop tested" (most good battery suppliers and some garages will do it free) as voltage test isn't really a good test.

Just to update the thread I had to get breakdown out and diagnosed a flat battery. Replaced the battery and now all is well Smile
