Hi guys,

3 years ago I had to recharge the AC circuit as it was not cooling. It has a very small leak and the gas has lasted 3 years.

Today I went to have it recharged, but the guy told me the valve was damaged. Mad
He recharged the circuit but told me it will not last long...

the faulty valve is the red one cap:

what is this valve used for?? Arrow the guy charged the AC circuit with another valve, next to windshield...

diagram:

I loosened the cap, and it started to lost gas. If the valve is unuseful Rolling Eyes could I get it permanently sealed with Pattex or sth similar?

thanks!

I'm guessing that valve it your low pressure valve, you will need to get your mechanic to de gas the air con, unscrew the valve and screw it a new one. Then regass, he shouldn't of regass ex the air on without replacing the valve as he knows your not suppose to let the gas out into he atmosphere

Well every A/C system got 2 points (High & Low) or (Hot & Cold),and in your case this is the Hot or high one, that guy should of replaced this valve before he recharge the system with gas,or he could of checked it with air without A/C gas ,then tell you that you got a problem,so that you can fix it.

Just phone the dealership and tell them what you need. Believe it or not the dealers aren't as expensive as some people make out
