Hopefully someone can help.

Just bought a 206 and the lights aren't right. Eg.
Come on there self. And clock dials jump about.
Any ideas

2 totally completely different types of electrical systems used on the 206 over the years, you need to tell us what year of 206 you have before we can offer any help.

Great, the change over year Laughing

Is it non plexed or multiplexed then?

51 plate could be either.

Have a look at the link as this will help you tell which system your 206 has.

Check the battery connections, also it could be the battery is failing.

A dying battery on a multiplexed 206 can cause all sorts of odd electrical faults to happen.

Also a plexed GTI should have auto headlamps fitted so you may actually have 2 faults.

NOTE: Multiplexed 206's have to be shut down / rebooted correctly, DON'T just disconnect the battery!

The info for safe battery disconnection / reconnection was on the link earlier in the thread!

Also the factory fitted radio doesn't need a code as its paired to the BSI unit.
