Im going to change the oil on my 1.4 hdi its on 105,00 and would like to know what oil you use? Lots of different answers on google some saying not to use synthetic?
Book says 10 40 . Is the oil filter a pain? Not paying £100 for the garage to do it this time
Cheers

my works van is run on the cheapest 10/40 nasty crap oil you can get and that runs fine on it, and trust me it gets thrashed to within a inch of its life every day. ok its not what i would recomend but any half decent oil will be fine.

Ideally you need an oil filter removal tool to get the filter off, & a socket for the drain plug on the sump.
