i found your old post
ere is a quick picture which i will improve at some point when i have time.
So you need to decide whether you want to cut into the mirrors and/or the loom in your car or just make a new loom like the i did. (you could also get the connect blocks and create a loom between them..)
Basically there are 9 wires on a passenger mirror and 7 wires on a drivers side, unless you have fake mirrors which are becoming more popular now (ie GTi ones with the 180 caps on!! So be careful!!
Right on the passenger one there are a total of 9 wires which are as follows:
>Red movement
>Blue movement
>Green movement
>Brown heated
>brown heated
>black temp
>black temp
>Grey Fold in
>Darker Grey Fold out
Drivers side 7 wires [b]
>Red movement
>Blue movement
>Green movement
>Brown heated
>brown heated
>Grey Fold in
>Darker Grey Fold out
should it be grey and darkey grey? or gray with purple, sorry not really into wiring

There are 2 wire's for the folding function, all you do to activate the function is apply 12 volts down those 2 wires.
When you swop the polarity around on those 2 wires the function will reverse.
There is a PCB inside the mirror that controls folding & when to turn off the power to the folding motor at both the end stop folding positions.
