Is it easy to put GTi or CC seats into the 180?

It may sound crazy but the 180 seats are too narrow at the shoulders and are aggravating a shoulder problem I have Rolling Eyes Gutted as the car has only done 35k miles and the seats are immaculate.

There's no way I'm getting rid of the car so I am looking to find either full black leather, red and black leather or GTi seats in great condition, and put these in place of the 180 ones.

It's a 2004 180 - so would I need to make sure I get seats with the correct airbag connections? Anything else to consider?

Will rear CC seats fit in?

Thanks for your help!

can always try the front seats from a 207 gti, they are certainly much better and more comfortable

I wanted 207 seats but they don't come up for sale really, well I've defo never seen a set.

If and when you do take the seats out let me know how much for the seats if they are as good as you say and you're selling as mine have seen better days, and I'm in Waltham Abbey so probably not that far from you.

I think any 206 seats fit, but the rear bench for 206 cc leather won't? might be wrong, you could opt to get gti rear bench which won't be red and black but might still look ok if the cc seats are what you're after. Normal GTI half leathers will fit, and aren't like the bucket style ones.

Thanks Jamie - I had thought that 207 seats might be hard to come by after a quick eBay search.

I'm thinking red/black CC front seats and plain black rear seats or GTi seats all round.

Not sure what they go for but yes will definitely sell them and if it's to someone local that's even better (I'm in Kings Langley near Watford).

Is there an issue regarding airbags/plugs or seat rails? Or would any post-2003 front seats fit then?

No worries mate, yeh tbh I've never seen a set for sale I'd imagine they would be dollar or would go for dollar on a bid due to the rarity for second hand ones.

Red & black cc seats would look nice but if it was me and I had your issue mate due to the fact the cc rears won't fit I'd go for 138 half leathers unless you can get a full black leather rear bench to go with the red cc's. I've definitely seen a 180 running cc red & black leather, an old school member before the site went down had a black 180 running them can't remember his name though and I'm sure most of the stuff is long gone after the server issue.

I'm pretty sure you can fit any fronts & rear bench from any 206 model, however you'd need to make sure they had airbags as it will throw up an airbag light on the dash if it's not plugged in. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

As for the seats, near the time you get new ones send me a couple of pics of the seats and we can go from there Smile
