Hi,
2002 GLX with auto lights.
Basically the headlights are sticking on after engine has been turned off. They are on auto mode atm but surely they should switch off automatically when the key is removed?? PP has shown no faults with this!
Only way to turn them off seems to be to flick the side lights on, then off, and all lights go out.
...well not quite all lights, brake lights are a permanent feature atm but will be checking the the switch above the glovebox for those tomorrow.
Cheers
Tom

I had similar only mine doesn't have auto lights. After driving with lights on intermittently switching tge car off the lights stayed on. A quick flick of the switch puts them off. I had corrosion on some of the terminals on my bsi unit from a water leak. Stiff nylon brush, contact clean and terminal grease seemed to fix it. Might not be your issue just sounds similar.

Ah ok thanks, looks like both this and the fuel fault could both be caused by BSI then! Definitely be checking/cleaning BSI contacts later and hope it helps!

Looks like I might just be impatient lol....
The lights do turn off, but only when the mileage display goes out, I'll assume that's normal then lol, oops.

Sounds like the light sensor has a fault plus your running a very early BSI software version.
Sounds like the early follow you home headlamp function is being triggered by a faulty light sensor on the screen.
Disable the auto headlamps & see what then happens.
A BSI reboot or even better a BSI software update might be a good idea.
