"Kirkstone Pass with an altitude of 1,489 feet is the Lake District’s highest pass that is open to motor traffic. It connects Ambleside in the Rothay Valley to Patterdale in the Ullswater valley – the A592 road"

Was suggested here by a friend and was really impressed cracking road to drive on well worth a visit if you're localish!

Sadly only phone photos

Brilliant location and I love the scenery. It's lovely up there, great road to drive as long as you don't get the sightseers getting in your way.

Used to use it a lot on the run from Patterdale to Ambleside. Managed to be the last vehicle through it a few years ago before the police closed it due to snow. That was a hair raising drive as it dropped down towards Windermere

Luckily it was about 9.30ish when I was going through only met one other car and I can imagine it was a bit nerve racking I've heard some horror stories about it in the winter!
