Hi guys what's the normal running temp for 206 52 plate 1.4 mines always on about 100 them back to ninety then 100 again then back again think my head gaskets gone so trying to figure it out also have oil in coolant no coolant in oil had oil cooler changed

The running temp. u got is the normal,and perfect one,as it should be between 90 to 100,as fans kicks in about 97.,so yours is automatic?

Yh automatic mate not got the gunk In coolant fixed getting the head gasket done tommarow mate u say normal but should that be happening constantly also when I turn of the ignition and turn it back on its past the hundred the fans kick in again

Also when I open my bonnet there is a huge amount of heat I mean huge too hot more the normal ,what do u think that suggests

Thermostat might need changing. Should run around 90.

Hi my temp gauge is on around a hundred and then back to 90 constantly is this the normal had my head gasket done too now so it's the same before and after

Hi I have a 2.0 hdi and my temp doesn't go higher than about 75 while driving but will creep up in traffic have I got a problem some where?

Radiators on these cars are old now. Could be a corroded radiator. Are the fins on it all knackered?
2001 GTi 138, Bilstein Sprint dampers, H&R springs, 21mm Peugeot Sport torsion bars, 22mm rear ARB, Peugeot Sport Group A wishbones, 283mm discs, Goodridge stainless hoses, Maniflow 304 grade 4-2-1 2.5" manifold and system, 200 cell cat, Richard Longman head, 45mm Jenvey throttle bodies, 9.5mm TB spacers, 90mm air horns, Jenvey throttle linkage, Jenvey fuel rail, Aeromotive and Goodridge fuel fittings and braided hose, ITG sausage filter, Radtec custom radiator, Piper Ultimate Road cams, Piper vernier pulleys, Omex 600 ECU. Saxo electric PAS pump, Vibra Technics engine mounts. Samco coolant hoses, TTV steel flywheel, 4.76 final drive ratio, 307 CC 180 ratios. 2019 BMW 530i. 2017 Mercedes C300 convertible.

Check it with a lazer tep gun. Check all pipe are hot. Bleed system get rid of possable air locks. Pull return pipe to expansion bottle to see if there's circulation. Flush system.

Reread topic change head gasket. No point p**sing around with trying to fix cooling system if its being contaminated with oil
