I need a definitive answer as to whether Cruise Control can be fitted to my 1.4 8V 2001 LX Thanks Steve

Do you know what's required to make it work, and whether or not your 206 has the parts?

I know I need Clutch Switch and Brake Switch and obviously the stalk. I have been told that the 1.4 cannot have CC fitted no matter what? Steve

You need to establish whether or not your ECU will let you enable the function through PP2000. If you read the last few pages on the main cruise control thread it's all covered off there. I reckon it's only last of the run models that have the compatible ECU.

Pretty sure you need the electronic throttle body. I think the 2001 model will be cable operated.

NO, you need the electronic fly by wire throttle system fitted.

Your 1.4 will have the mechanical throttle setup fitted.

My 2004 Gti had electric throttle body, but the CC was locked in the ECU.
