SO been here a few weekks so decided to start a thread for all the little things happening

Started with my 1.4 206lx The kids named cherry so is now called cherry

 


Pillars got stripped prior to this pic and after a good scrub and polish we have her shiny ( Ignore the dent )

Purchsed a centre console off tolkienfan ( brilliant transaction recomended Seller )

 



Looks good but clock now needs sorting as left a gap

then today got hold of some new wheels for a bargain £45 just need sort out the spray job

 



Will update pics when they are on probably pay day

Update just replaced rocker gasket as engine is in a terrible state major clean to follow

 



Any suggestions for getting the old dirt and crap off would be more than grateful

Looking good! Iwould just cleaning with a bunch of rags and some kind of solvent or spray clener and see how it goes before I'd do anything else.

cheers will definatly be having a major clean under there first before any jetwash or water goes on

Anyone got ideas on what will make the pipes and cables not look so faded without replacing them ??

In the old days we just used a bit of WD40 and wiped over with a rag. Customers would lift their bonnet and see it was shiny and be happy thinking we had gone the extra mile. If it was a VIP then the car got some engine lacquer, which looked great to start off with, but crap when it cracked and looked like crazy paving.

Now I would just use a bit of vinyl and trim cleaner and give the parts a wipe over.

Quick update due to 2 parking tickets for parking outside my house. Which may I add is pathetic. Couldn't do much. So tried the alloys on the motor to heck clearances and look. Decided needs be lower on front end suggestions and. Feedback please

Yeah with them wheels you definitely need to go lower. Even a 50mm drop would still leave a gap Surprised
