Hi.
my 206 gti has developed a noise this morning.
sounds like a belt might be slipping as it is a squeal started all the time but is now only when clutch is disengaged.
Any ideas ??
Thanks in advance.

Unheard something similar being the thrust bearing in the clutch I may be wrong but I have that issue with mine and it squeals until I press the clutch just a touch and it stops

Could me a few things to be honest, best bet would be take it to a garage and get it sorted that way rather then us all taking a stab in the dark.

Does sound like thrust bearing though. Probably time for a new clutch. Do get it diagnosed first though either by a garage or knowledgeable mate.
Clutch change costs £400 - £450 for Peugeot or other large dealer and £250 ish for small local guy.
