Hi guys, hoping you can help here.
My wife's 206 has an issue with the headlights...
I switch on side lights, no problem, low beam no problem (except way to low but going to check bulb placement tomorrow, and make sure they are correct)... Also the motor works fine adjusting them...
Anyway flick on high beam and it will change back to dip anywhere between away to seconds and occasionally stay on high...yey!
The front fog lights do exactly the same thing.
Now all the other electrics work spot so was wondering your thoughts... relay (which one, where?), steering column stalk? Or even the bsi?
It's annoying me now as having to drive holding in now nights are getting darker earlier.
Thanks

The unit behind the steering wheel which has the stalks attached to it. It's all one piece and the stalks don't come separately.
Out of curiosity, have you got the double optic H7 (crystal) headlights or the single optic (H4) headlights. The change came in September 2003. I know the rears changed, not sure if the front changed at the same time.
There is always the chance that it originally had single optic and someone has changed them to double optic, and ballsed it up. Then again, they might have fitted some crappy aftermarket headlights and done a bodge job.
Servicebox can tell you which were fitted originally in the Characteristics section. PM the last 8 of your VIN and I can have a look for you.

Looking at the headlight unit it has a sticker on them stating h7 and h7 bulbs in there.
I have adjusted the dipped beam so that should be better.
Is there any way of finding the comms number code I need without dismantling the steering? do others fit? the reason I ask is there are a lot on ebay with diffeent numbers all looking the same with the same features but different numbers.
Thanks
