will a mk2 gearbox fit a mk1 206? as ive already replaced mine with a 1.1 gearbox and its now making a loud ticking noise after 4 months. on the hunt for a cheapish 1 now and thers not alot about where i live.

MA gearbox has been around since the mid to late 1980's, ask your local gearbox repair place how much a service / exchange unit would be.

All I want to know is if a mk2 gearbox will fit a mk1 thats all. I do all my own work but cant find any info on it

As long as it's from a TU engine, it will fit. Good luck finding a good condition MA box though
