Basically told kids off for touching my car and they came back later and scratched all the drivers side from rear to front. The scratches I have tried to t-cut out and used scratch removal kit. It is a black Peugeot 206 so very noticeable. I have had a quote from chips away but cost is ridiculous at £720 and if I claim on insurance will probably write off. Does anyone on here know someone who can quote reasonable price to sort out as so gutted little buggers

Report to police and and try to find the parents as it's them who should be paying should have kept descriptions of what they had on and report it all it's criminal damage at the end of the day. I hope you manage to get it sorted bud

Hi already did that and police are doing nothing just gave me a crime reference number. I roughly sort of know who they are but cannot prove it and parents nowadays tend not to take responsibility for their kids especially where I live. They were only about 9/10 years old. I would not of dared touch peoples cars when I was a kid

I've had the same issue but with what we suspect was an old man scratching all the cars down the street, must have caused a couple of grands worth of damage. Unless you have evidence you'll find the police are very reluctant to do anything as they can't prove anything.

We now have CCTV on the cars so if it ever happens again we'll have evidence and be able identify the culprit.

You could do what a mate of mine did and get some gloss wood paint and paint it, what a laugh he gave us.

A friend of mine had this happen to his Corvette years ago ... black as well.

He spent hours with a very fine tipped paintbrush slowly building up the paint level in the scratch until it couldn't be seen again! But he was a bit OCD!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

Build up the paint with a touch up pen slowly, wait a day to let it dry. Cut it back with a heavy cut and rotary polisher and carry on repeating this process till you cant see it anymore

Well good news found a decent one man sprayer company not far from me who will do all 4 scratched panels over 3 days for £400 next Monday. Cannot wait to have a scratch free car again. On the negative side I now don't park by my house, couple of roads away as don't trust the little gits
