Well after doing 32 hours overtime last month i've now got a new project on the go, no picture's yet till weekend when it's light.

Over the weekend I picked up a 53 plate 5 door SE spec 1.4 petrol 16 valve with manual box for the grand sum of £500.
It's done 115k mile's, MOT tested till end of June 2015, came with lot's of old paper work & it's HPI clear.

I've stuck 6 month's tax on it & then the insurance was £30 to add it on my current policy for a month Very Happy

Drive's ok apart from a flat spot at low rev's ( possibly gummed up VVT ) & clutch is heavy.
Done about 80 miles on the way home & water + oil temp's sat at a rock steady 90 deg C.

Load's of silly little job's to do, mainly my time & hunt in my part's collection for bit's.
So far I've done:

Replaced a broken interior roof grab handle.
Replaced MFD bulbs.
Freed of both door lock barrels.
Adjusted tailgate so it shut's correctly.
Replaced broken dipstick.
Replaced missing SP vent knob's on 2 vent's.

Currently waiting on the weekend to come so I can work in the light Laughing

The car was cheap BUT I also know it does need some time & money spending on it to bring it up to standard again.

Ill update thread with picture's over the weekend.

Shut it u stupid little f**k, what's the point in posting in all my treads being such a c***? Least I can afford a gti180, and to get the cam belt done!

So apparently everyone knows my financial situation? If I wanted a 180 I would have bought a 180 simples Smile

You sure love those apostrophes Laughing
Most of them are not required, as plurals don't need apostrophes Cool

I got a dig bick.
You that read wrong.

Anyway more jobs done:

Binned the crappy Peugeot locking wheel bolts & fitted some McGards.

Replaced blown cigarette lighter & ashtray bulbs.

Had the Com 2000 unit apart & sorted the wiper stalk out so rear wiper & trip computer now work correctly, just swopped the end unit over - was shocked to find it's the original October 2003 unit Shocked

Binned the crappy NGK spark plugs & fitted some new Bosch one's, already runs a hell of a lot better Cool

Replaced a broken breather pipe.

Repaired the non working ultrasonic alarm button.

If you want to change plugs on a ET3 lump then this is the spark plug socket you will need Wink

Worked a treat, i've never seen plugs with that small a hex on a automotive engine before.

The list of jobs to do is getting smaller Laughing
