Heavy Braking issue.

So yesterday evening had to brake a little hard, when doing so I had the speedo stop sign flash up along with the handbrake/ low brake fluid level. So of course got to work and checked the fluid levels and they where fine.
Then on the way into work today same thing again except this time it was happening under light braking and almost all the time, just checked the fluid levels again and its fine.

Haven't really had time to investigate any further but anyone have any ideas what it might be? Any common issues in regards to this? Just so you know its a 52' 1.4 8v.

Check wheel bearings, abs rings/pickups and then check for codes. Sounds like you have a fault
