Hey all,
Its a weird query I know, and one that i've found hard to answer just by searching t'internet.

But what differences, if any, are there, between the regular 206 and 206cc unibodies??

Did they strengthen them or is the standard 206 unibody design strong enough without the roof?

Anyone got pictures of undersides of the two models for visual comparison?

Thanks.

There are strengthening bars fitted under the CC, get one up on a ramp & you will easily spot them.

Cheers for the quick reply.

Would love to see any photos of the undercarriage of one for comparison.

Probably stronger sills as well ... those bolt on bars are unlikely to stop it flexing ...

They are rattling b*gg*ers when they start to age as well!

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

I was thinking the the same. The way those bars are laid out, would stop torsion along the body rather than lateral stiffness around the mid section.

Dunno about the 206 but the 207cc has a big sprung metal block behind the drivers side rear wheel to cancel out and flexing and vibrations running through the shell.

This is what I was talking about. Big sprung metal block that rotates slightly.
