Will putting lowering springs on my car make it bumpy ?

Springs will be fine . Coilovers ! The lower you go the harder ride !

No need for coil overs on a road car. £ for £ you will get a higher quality spring and damper than coilover.

who makes a good set of dampers and springs? tried and tested ? .

Bilstein make good dampers although my first lot were dangerously corroded after 7 years. I still use Bilstein though and now have H&R springs. Previously I used Eibach.

i used to use koni yellow sport before and it was ok; with eibach pro sport spring.

I'm using koni yellow sport with koni-supplied springs (perhaps made by H&R).
Overall, handling department is much better than original Peugeot setup.
Ride quality is good, its slightly ply at low speed and get firmer as the speed build up.
Soft/hard (rebound settings) is adjustable to your liking.
Ride is only affected on the worst road surfaces.
