Hi guys!
I brought my gti yesterday and put a post up about lack of power but that is all fixed now. I was missing the metal clip which hols the throttle cable at a set distance so pedal had dropped etc.
Anyway, it's started making a funny noise which seems to happen wheni press the clutch/change gear. Not all the time though but most.
The noise sounds like air pressure being released and can last for a few seconds even after I'm completely off the clutch.
Sounds like it's coming from the back of the passengers footwell.
Any thoughts or help on what this could be will be appreciated.
Thank you!
EDIT: the noise is deffinately because of the brakes. I've explained 2 posts down.

CLUTCH SLAVE CYLINDER?? Dont know alot but thats the only thing i would suspect if it was clutch related. Brakes make the same noise when from passenger side when building a vacuum.

Ok I've drove the car a bit more now and it is deffinately a sound like air pressure releasing and it happens when I am pressing the brake pedal, not clutch.
It starts when I come off the brake pedal and for a few seconds after. If i re apply the brakes whilst the noise is still going, it stops again till I release the pedal.
Hopefully someone can help with this new info.
Thanks for the reply tommy.
