what way to fit front springs?

Do i fit these with the 3 tight coils at the top or bottom ?

Realistically it doesn't matter providing they match either side, but the norm is to have the 3 tighter coils at the bottom!

Wouldn't it be harder to compress springs with the clamp tool if the looser coils are up top?
