As per title
I have been offered a fully working engine for £150.
I would only want it for spare parts.
Is this a good price?
Thanks

Could pop it on an engine stand and slowly modify it. I wonder if the 180 would benefit from a ported head and smoothing the inlet manifold?

If it is really a fully working engine then I would call it a steal. Check if it is not a 138 engine (EW10J4), as those are cheap because they are in a lot of other peugeot's/citroen's. EW10J4S is a whole different engine.
The gti180 engine would benefit from porting the head, but in combination with different cams (I have 804 for sale) and a remap. With aftermarket exhaust, cold air intake and a good remap you could see around 200hp. From there on it gets expensive.

Get the grinding stones out think less is more .
Lose 5kg start in the middle of each port & grind that shinny stuff out ..
how far can you go ? Can you just make one massive hole like 4 in 1 exhaust port ..
Yea bargin if works .
