Having done some quick searching it looks like its Fuse 26 but from the sounds of it that fuse also controls injection so if the fuse had blown the car wouldnt even start.
You may have knackered the new sensor by plugging it in when the circuit was still powered maybe?
Take the Lambda sensor back as a faulty part, try another one but this time disconnect the battery before fitting and see how you get on.
