Trying to pinpoint the noise coming from the front left when taking off and when stopping. Does not happen all the time. It is a kind of 'clink'. I took a quick look at the drop link and the rubber bush on one end seems compressed at one side. Is this normal. GOING TO TRY AND UP LOAD PHOTO OF IT LATER.

cheers for any help / advice given. Smile

Hi there,

When mine went bad (twice now, need to stop buying cheap things) I found they clunk over any kind of bumps big or small but not when cornering.

To test them I have the car on the ground and try hitting/shaking the ends. Car is on the ground so that the ARB doesn't put presure on them. When the boot has split and the grease gone, the metal on metal makes an unpleasant noise.

Regards, Richard

Check all the wishbone bolts are tight
Also all other boltes
wip the wheel off put a stand under it and go over everthing with a leaver bar. Some times it may need to develop fervor befor finding it.
just make sure its not that ball joint
