hi, my 2008 206 has started to give me problems which is driving me mad.
after the car has stood over night i start it up to go to work (it starts first time with no problems) i pull away and it runs bad as if its got a missfire, as soon as i change to 2nd gear it cuts out and i struggle to get it started again, after about 5 goes it finally gets going although running poor, i did notice if i leave the car running for 10 mins or so at the start to defrost the windscreen the car doesnt cut out when i dive off but still runs poor, thinking it was plugs or ignition coil these have been changed along with air filter and map sensor, now im at a loss as to what it can be, any help would be very welcome

hi Addaz, i bought a reader today, and its showing no codes which is why im now stummed as to what the problem is,
i am having problems with my positive battery terminal corroding with a white substance, not sure if that could be related as it does start first time and its never flat on a morning, the car just bogs down when i first set off and cuts out unless i warm the engine first

How old is the battery? If old replace and do a BSI reboot (guide on here through search) and may solve your problems

no codes - hmmm odd - could be plugs or coil pack or temp sensor but should come up with some code

Disconnect the battery for 30 minutes to reset everything - i did to clear a few things - codes still there but at least the engine light has gone out

I was wondering if the battery wasnt disconnected when the new Lambda sensor was fitted whether this could have blown a fuse hense the fault code?

I could be wrong and clutching at straws but regardless i wouldnt have thought it good practice to unplug and plug in a new sensor with the battery still connected on both terminals
