Hi , my problem started with I put a new instrument cluster in my car as i wanted to change the LED's from orange to blu so i bought one from the scrap yard
When i put it on i saw that the airbag light wont switch off after starting the engine and i went with it to the garage , the mechanic said is the airbag ecu and i got new one of that but the problem is still there , he wired his computer to the car to check why is still like that but he was getting error to connect with the ECU , so he checked the fuses , i was missing 2 fusses so he put new ones on
After all this i put back my original instrument cluster and the mileage jumped to 98k but before was 85k
Anyone can help pls ? Can i put back the mileage somehow ?
Thanks

You have tripped the anti clocking feature on a multiplexed 206.
Only way to get the original mileage back now is a mileage correction service in the back of trade magazine OR BBA reman can do it BUT they ask for proof of mileage before carrying it out.
You would need to send BOTH the instrument cluster & BSI unit to be corrected if you go BBA route as the mileage is stored in both.

Can't you just reverse for a couple of thousand miles?

Guessing that the replacement clocks had 98k recorded on them.

You would of managed to skip this problem by getting a clock that has less mileage than yours, this way you will have same mileage as you did,but since what is done is done, the best way to do as MrBSI said,a correction using Tachometer tools is alright.
