Hi!

Anyone had this problem or know whats wrong?

I have had my GTI 180 for two years now. It tugs first 1km when cold started. Usually this has something to do with wet weather.

For example:
Hot, dry summer day = No problems
Freezing, dry winter day (-15 celcius) = No problem
Raining, or just wet weather (ex. temperature close 0 celcius) = Tugs first 1km.

And if the engine is fully warmed up, it never tugs.

Tugs can be avoided by warming the engine up or accelerating close to full throttle. (light acceleration causes tugging)

Thanks in advance.

Feel free to correct me with my english. I'm not local. Smile

its not that uncommon for 180's to be a little lumpy untill they warm up on mine i changed the temp sensor and that helped a little.

Yeah I've heard some people having same kind of problems. But no one really came up with a resolution. I should try changing that temp sensor. Thanks for the tip!

Changed Map sensor and temp sensor, still having the same trouble. Sad

Not long ago the plugs were changed and it had the problem before.

Anyone else had / having this problem on GTI 180?

and what are the correct plugs for 180?
