Out of curiosity.. How bad would it be to fit a regular 206 rear axle on an xsi?
Is it even possible?
Is a drums brakes rear axle different from a discs brakes rear axle?

the axle itself will be the same i just imagine the radius arm/stub axle would be different. handbreak cables i would assume would change too. have a look on axel direct, i had a replacement from them on an exchange basis and you get a decent warrenty with it too. if you have the time and the right tools an axle swap is fairly simple if nothing goes wrong.

Plenty of people have converted from drum to disc so can't see it being that much different.
If you get a donor axle with drums, it will just be a case of swapping the parts over, although I have heard of a couple of garages struggling to comprehend such a simple solution.

Axle direct fitted my axle and converted it from drums to disc. Very professional and I would recommend them every time. 0800 9788 190
