So on my way home I was driving through an estate and went round a corner at about 10 mph just crawling round the bend and suddenly a clunk and straight away as soon as I let off the throttle there is a knocking which is noticeable, also even after replacing all the linkages my gear stick is still loose, ive put it in on Google and its saying my gearbox could be on its last legs.

Any ideas?

Gearbox mount is fine still loads of life in it, could be a cv joint?

Still drives fine just feels like there's more power going to the right wheel although the cv joints look fine at a glance but I think the problem will be under the rubber and there has been a clunk from the left side that started about a week after the m.o.t and both front wheel bearings have had a squeal to them, ive got it booked in at the garage on Monday to have a look but not paying garage prices unless I have to, in the meantime il be driving a corsa courtesy car....
