I took my car into a garage this morning at half 9 for a service (oil, oil filter, fuel filter as well as a rocker cover gasket) anyway the car was there at half 9 and went to collect it at half 4 he said come back at half and it will be ready guaranteed And it wasn't now I'm not getting it back till Monday And he's open tomorrow. His excuse is he can't get the timing cover off to take the rocker cover off although I'm positive you don't even need to take it off and he's using that as an excuse to charge me an extra hours labour for nothing.

The rocker cover on a 1.4 hdi is the inlet manifold as well, and is a pain in the back side

I got the car back today turned out a bolt had fell when taking the cover off and landed between the timing belt and a pulley
