My cars handbrake light seems to be staying on 1st of all the brake fluid is fine and i checked the sensor at the handbrake its also fine. The light stays illuminated constantly and get brighter when the handbrake is engaged and dimmer when disengaged. If im driving along and turn the car off and back on the light will stay off for about 5 miles then comes back on. Any ideas?

I also just replaced the instrument panel as mine was f**ked any way my car had 134k on the clock and i put those clocks in and its now displaying 114k what do i do? i was aware that providing the new clocks where lower millage than the car they would automatically change

Your 206 is NON plexed so NO the mileage wont change.

The mileage displayed on a NON plexed 206 will be whatever is actually stored in the instrument cluster memory.

I know it's a long while after but did you manage to sort this issue? I have the exact same problem.
Handbrake released dimms to warning light but its still on and brake fluid is fine.

Any hints would be great.
Thanks
