Evening all,
The wife's 206 2.0 hdi has developed a whining noise when you come off the throttle to slow down.
Depressing the clutch make the noise disappear.
Any comments appreciated.

I've just had a look at the paper work that came with the car, it had a clutch, release bearings and input shaft bearing 20,000 miles ago.

That`s music to my ears!
I didn't think it sounded that bad and it didn't always do it.
I will monitor the situation from a distance and suggest that the wife turns up the radio.

No not like that, only make the noise when on the move.
Good luck with getting yours sorted

I was asked about a whine after a clutch change. Advised them to turn the heater blower off from 1st speed. Noise has gone.
