Hi Guys, I am trying to remove the dipstick tube on my 03 206 2.0 HDI to remove the broken part of the dipstick. The bolt/s fastening it to the engine (not sure if there are 1 or 2) are completely inaccessible.

Has anyone overcome this is so how did you do it?

Thanks in advance

I took the manifold off!! ... but I was replacing the two core plugs in the head of my 1.4 hdi ..

I don't think you can remove that tube easily .. can you push the remains down into the sump? It's unlikely to do any damage in the bottom ...

Down to just the 1.4 HDi. Cayman Green 2.0i CC sold.

This is what I have done in the past with a TU3 lump.

The mesh on the end of the oil pick up pipe will stop it being sucked back in to the oil pump.

If your really lucky & get the engine oil hot it may even come out next time the oil is drained.

Thanks gents. It seems fairly well lodge and wont go down with the dipstick. I might try and ram it down with a welding rod or similar.
