hi there i have a 04 206 gti 180 and my auto lights arent working ive tried the hold down the button once ignition is on for so long to turn them on but nothing is happening i get no alert no beep tone no message or anythin to say auto lights now on could this be the stalk its self?

Ignition key needs to be on the first click only - then press & hold in the auto light button on the end of the headlamp stalk for 4 seconds until you get a BONG sound & message on the MFD.
