Hello,
As the title says I've got a idle problem with a 1.4 8v 206.
I have had a quick look through the forum but it hasn't really solved anything for me so I thought I'd ask.
It's a 2006 late model which has the electronic throttle body from the 207 (no idle control valve).
There are no fault codes showing at all. All live readings appear to be good.
Although they were not showing faulty I changed both the lambda sensors, temperature coolant sensor and the MAP sensor.
I have tested the solenoid for the fuel vapour system and cleaned the throttle body.
Spark plugs, air filter etc are fine.
I did the head gasket two years ago and the car was fine after.
It idles rough all the time hot or called, it drives fine no Miss fire no unusual fuel economy.
Here's the thing now if I unplug the pre car lambda sensor it idles fine.
So that kind of rules out the coil, plugs, vacuum leak.
I've checked the valve clearances and they are fine.
The only thing I can think of is the throttle body but I've been told they need setting up when fitting?
Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated!

Get it hooked up to diagbox/pp2000 and see if any fault codes pop up, best starting point in my opinion.

He said no fault codes present.

Check fuel pump pressure, clean injectors if you can.
Replacing the ETB is no problem ECU-wise.
